Saadia Hameed is an Educational Psychologist who is committed to enhancing resilience in humanity locally and internationally. Saadia attended the University of California, Davis before completing a Masters of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Child Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy at California State, East Bay.
Saadia is an Internationally Certified Trauma Specialist by the International Association of Trauma Professionals and is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Saadia is a trained facilitator of the Love and Logic Parenting curriculum.
Saadia has 10 years of experience working with children and adolescents with diverse cognitive, developmental, and social emotional needs in a variety of settings. Saadia is trained in completing comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and Individual Education Plans. Saadia is trained in research based social emotional curriculum with children and adolescents in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, Autism, ADHD and a range of social emotional areas.
Saadia’s passion includes international humanitarian work. Saadia provides consultation to orphanages and professionals internationally. Saadia has experience conducting presentations and workshops locally and internationally. Saadia is a team member of the Care Program for Refugees (CPR) apart of the Alalusi Foundation. Saadia has traveled to Amman, Jordan three times to train professionals working with refugee families on PTSD and Trauma Focused Psychological Interventions.
Saadia has worked at Moreland School District for the last 10 years. Saadia has taken the lead in creating a successful comprehensive model of mental health services, provided direct clinical services to the districts most complex cases, implemented research based practices, and provided training to administrators, teachers, and counselors on a variety of mental health areas.
Saadia enjoys working with diverse families and is highly dedicated in using her expertise to help communities on a local and international level.
